Last night I was a guest speaker for the International Women’s Forum Emerging leaders’ program. One of the questions I was asked to address was “What leadership capability will you need to thrive as a future leader?”

Real Communication

Now I know I might be a bit biased, but my answer was real communication. Specifically, storytelling to connect and engage with people in a more authentic way. I also combined this with being able to more effectively present information. These leadership capabilities have always been an important aspect of leadership. But as we lead into a future with more diversity, greater uncertainty and exponential rates of change, the ability to communicate, influence and present in a more engaging and effective way is critical.

Storytelling and Presenting

This is exactly what I help people with, hence my bias. I have scheduled one remaining public workshop each of Business Storytelling and Presenting with Impact for 2021. Both are half day virtual sessions coming up in November. I know we are all over virtual everything, including drinks, meetings and training but I guarantee you this will be some of the best virtual training you have ever done.
