I am beyond excited to announce that I have been invited by the Obama Foundation to teach storytelling at their Asia Pacific Leadership program.
The Obama Foundation Leaders Asia-Pacific Program is a one-year leadership development and community engagement program. It seeks to inspire, empower and connect 200 emerging leaders from 33 nations and territories across the Asia-Pacific region.
The program kicks off with a five-day conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The chosen participants were selected from thousands of applicants in the region. Not surprisingly, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach them the power of storytelling. My aim is to help them communicate their story and the amazing work they are doing to the world.
What’s more, there is an impressive line-up of speakers who will all be sharing their wisdom over the 5 days, including Barack and Michelle Obama.
The conference kicks off on 10th December 2019 and many of the plenary sessions are being live streamed. If you are interested you can register here to watch.
I am also taking my daughter Alex with me. As she is studying politics and international studies at University, it will be a great opportunity for her to learn and listen to some of the aspiring young leaders and guest speakers. What’s more, it’s her 19th birthday just before the conference starts so I think this definitely earns me some brownie points!
If you are interested in following our journey, I will be posting frequently about the conference on LinkedIn and Facebook so you can connect there.
