While I am recovering from breast cancer surgery, I am doing my best to listen to my body and take it easy. I’ve found this do be a lesson in patience.

So, I have been asking my family to do a lot while I sit on the couch and observe. You could say I’ve been carrying out a bit of armchair supervision.

My kids tease me with,

“How long are you going to pull out the C card?”

And I respond with,

“As long as I can get away with it.”

Over the last few weeks, I have also been asking a lot of you. I’ve appealed to you to keep up to date with your health checks. And I’ve invited you to submit stories for my new book… by the way you can still do that here.

This week I have one more request. I have submitted to speak about Story Intelligence at SXSW Sydney in October this year.

For those not familiar with SXSW, it is an acronym for South by Southwest. It started in Austin, Texas in 1987 and has grown into one of the most influential cultural events in the world, attracting creatives, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from various fields.

Part of the selection process is popular vote and this is where I need your help.
